DD2018 Opening Pages
December is finally here! And in my opinion, it is truly the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
As the season kicks off, I will be choosing a story (or two) each day to document in my December Daily album. I have already shared my DD2018 Plan for my album in a previous post so go check it out if you missed it!
Without further ado, here are the opening pages of my album… (Click on the images to scroll through the gallery)
This year I made my entire scrap kit by watercoloring the images and then digitizing them. It is so very satisfying to see my vision for these pieces come to life.
For the past couple of years I have opened my DD album with a calendar. It is very handy to have the calendar within reach to keep track of all the events and to be able to see them at a glance. I created this fold out page to initially hide the visual busy-ness of the calendar but still have a record of dates to refer to upon opening my album.
On the back of the calendar I had printed one of the patterned papers I made and then layered the ‘hello December’ on top of that with a few other embellishments. This lead nicely into my first page where I documented a new(ish) tradition for our family. Since moving to a neighbouring town, my parents have invited us out to the live Nativity play. It has become a highlight that kicks off our Christmas season and this year was no exception.
What are the traditions that you will be documenting this December?
